Asif Mian, our director, wanted to create a unique piano that could showcase the movement of the Gillette razors pivoting head. My concept was a fully functioning grand piano connected to a prosthetic 1:1 pulley system, which pulled the razor’s handle in order to strike the key. This was played live by Son Lux.
